Twin sisters, Talya & Shira, share more than their identical genes. At age 6, their mother passed away due to a fatal illness.

Before turning 10, their father was hit by a car and left paralyzed. The girls were brought to Girls Town Jerusalem, as their father couldn’t take care of them any longer. He passed on several years later.

Unfortunately, at Girls Town Jerusalem, we are no strangers to tragedy.

Although identical, they are individuals. Each one went through her stages of mourning. One twin fell into a debilitating depression. It was touch and go for a while. But love, structure, and understanding are the tools we at Girls Town Jerusalem have to help our girls.
