Moreh Tzedek For Eida Chareidis Mourns Tragic Loss Of Wife

It’s almost hard to believe that just six months ago, Rebbetzin Dina Sabovitch was a ‘regular’ mom of 14 living in Ramat Beit Shemesh. Her husband, Rabbi Nosson Yehuda Sabovitch, worked for the Eida Chareidis, and she dedicated her life to running her home and caring for her children. No one could have possibly dared predict that in just a half a year she would be completely paralyzed, unable to move anything but her eyes – anything but normal.

That all changed when the Rebbetzin was diagnosed with a brain tumor. For months she endured chemotherapy and bravely endured her treatments. On Rosh Hashana, however, just a few weeks ago, she woke unable to move her legs.

Dina was rushed to the hospital and over the course of the next several days she rapidly lost control of the rest of her body. She reached the point where she was completely still, only able to glance around at the room around her. Her suffering was tremendous.

This last motzei shabbos, she passed away, ending the chapter of her suffering in this world. Her pain has been passed on to her 14 children, the youngest of whom is only 2 years old. Rabbi Sabovitch is now left with the impossible task of raising his large family alone, after the devastation of losing his partner in life.

An emergency family fund has been opened with the urgent hope of helping the Sabovitch family survive this tragedy on a completely practical level. The half year battle against illness has drained them off all the funds and strength they had. Any and all donations are desperately needed and appreciated.
