Flatbush Community Celebrates Historic T’NU Kavod Event Paying Tribute To Esteemed Leaders Of Yeshiva Toras Emes Kaminetz

INSPIRATIONAL SIYUM SEFER TORAH AND GALA DINNER HELD TO CELEBRATE TORAH LEARNING OF TALMIDIM AND PERPETUALIZE THE MEMORY OF RAV SHIMON SEGAL ZT”L

[Brooklyn, NY] – Hundreds of people came flocking to the Ateres Chynka Hall in Brooklyn this past Sunday for an inspiring and heartwarming evening, highlighting the special story of Yeshiva Toras Emes Kamenitz.

The focal point of the evening was a moving Siyum Sefer Torah leilu nishmas the Menahel Klali of over sixty years, Rabbi Shimon Segal ZT”L and a tribute to R’ Eliyohu Chaim Zelinger z”l.

The kesivas osiyos was performed in the presence of parents, students, alumni, and friends, who watched emotionally as a number of noted Rabbonim — including Harav Yerucham Olshin, The Bluzever Rebbe , and Harav Geldwerth — joined to write the final letters in the new Sefer Torah. After writing the last ois Rav Yerucham spoke briefly about Rabbi Segal and the profound effect he had on Torah in America.

The energy was palpable as Rav Olshin began dancing with the torah.

Accompanied by the music and singing of popular singer Uri Davidi and Lev Choir, hundreds of attendees and talmidim danced joyously with the Sefer Torah in spirited rikudim.

The program began with a special learning program for grandfathers, fathers and sons, followed by a motivating story for the younger grades and an in-depth shiur by Rav Daniel Osher Kleinman for the Mesivta and alumni . A shiur was held concurrently for the ladies in attendance given by Rebbitzin Slovie Jungreis Wolff.

Following the Siyum Sefer Torah, a beautiful Seudas Mitzvah was held. A special video was shown to pay tribute to the memory of the Hanhalla, who gave so much of themselves to uphold the chinuch of Yeshiva Toras Emes Kamenitz talmidim. As the crowd watched meaningfully, they saw how Rav Segal and Mr. Zelinger dedicated their efforts to Yeshiva Toras Emes, carrying the burden of its operation and ensuring that it instilled a pure and unadulterated chinuch to generations of talmidim.

A performance by the YTE choir was the highlight of the evening, where attendees were treated to a special musical performance led by Rabbi Chaim Block. The evening was capped off with a dessert reception and heartwarming kumzitz with Uri Davidi and Lev Choir.

“The writing of this new Sefer Torah highlighted our Yeshiva’s illustrious past and its vibrant future,” said Rav Yisroel Meir Zelinger “This event demonstrated the strong foundations that Yeshiva Toras Emes Kamenitz’s past Rabbonim have put in place and the strong and energetic leadership of its current Hanhalla, as we continue to grow as a premier makom Torah.”
