Where is The Agudah??

Maran Rav Eliyashiv Shlita, Rav Chaim Kanievsky Shlita, Chacham Ovadia Shlita, the Badatz and many other Rabbonim have come out condemning the planned gay parade in Yerushalayim. Why has the Agudah not issued a statement condemning this filthy event?! Where are the “Gedolim” of the Moetzes?? Why must they be pressured into releasing such a statement? This is a perfect example of how they DON’T represent the Oilam Hatorah. The Badatz Eidah Hachareidis – who never sign a paper that Maran Rav Eliyashiv Shlita has signed, even did so this time! 1. The Moetzes does not have to meddle in the goings on in Israel. It is well know that Reb Moshe didn’t like getting involved in things in Israel, as he felt that the Israeli Gedolim know better what is going on and how to respond. The moetzed probably feels the same.

And in general, people who don’t like the moetzes tend not to like any Gedolim. People should realize that we have to make it out business to understand the reasoning of the Gedolim, rather that accuse them of not understanding us and our “oilam hatorah”

  2. I am disapointed in the YW foolish rant on this topic. The Agudah has been working hard for sevral years with the President his staff and numerous Congressman and Senators against Gay Marriage in America. The Agudah has made a positive impression on them with our beliefs and convistions. I would even go so far as to say that the Agudahs stand on this matter has endeared us to many politicians and gained their favorable support on various other issues i.e. the Shechita Crisis and Support for Israel.
I would ask the YW to lessen the rhetoric and do some investigating before this hysteric condemnation.

  3. Edit
I dont remember. Did the Agudah put out an issur on using the internet? If not you need to point that out too.

  4. Agudah is irrelavant Did the agudath Harabonim make a statement on the issue? no because they know it makes no diffrence so too the aguda there press release has no signifigance by the way do you mean the isreali aguda orworld aguda the american aguda will keep their mouth closed if its not a american issue

the issue here,is are these american gay groups or not the question is why did they kept quiet about katzav and the reform rabbi’s

I thinl they have just lost tutch

  5. To Mr. Bar Kochba: I am not talking about the Agudah’s history of dealing with the gay issue. I am talking about now. Right now. There is a major crisis brewing. There are a bunch of filthy perverted pigs who will be desecrating the city of Yerushalayim. WHERE IS THE AGUDAH???

And I will reiterate what I’ve said before: “This is a perfect example of how they DONT represent the Oilam Hatorah”.

  6. If they issue a condemnation, you will be happy? What will that accomplish? It is a little like the UN issuing a condemnation. It does nothing but let us know their opinion. Do you think for a second that they want this parade to go forward? And what does the Oilam Hatorah have to do with this? The parade is an affront to anyone who is didgusted by the gay lifestyle. I dont see anyone in American Oilam Hatorah issuing a proclamation, but I know they are against it. Besides, I dont remember YW issuing an official proclamation!!! Maybe instead of griping, YW should have a link to an online petition on its front page, calling on Olmert to stop the parade. And now that it has been moved to Tel Aviv are you happier? I know I am not!!

  7. Why does agudah have to issue a statement? This was done already by two gedolei hador (Maran Harav Eliyashiv Shlita and Maran Harav Chaim Kanevsky Shlita). Once the gedolei hador proclaim what they hold nobody should have anything to add.

  8. TO the YW Editor. THe Aguda is a Political Lobbying Group representing the Jewish People of AMERICA. This is not an American Political problem. If you are questioning the Agudah’s lack of involvement based on the Rabbonim on the Moetzes and the Nessias it is up to those individuals to do something about it. There can be no upside with the AGUDAH becoming involved. Do you want them to make an obvious statement that they dont want this to happen? Do you think by their lack of response they are for Gay Rights? You have a mistaken impression of what the Agudah is and what is stands for. Let the Israeli Rabbonim organize themselves and protest this terrible “parade”.

  9. To Bar Kochba:
You wrote “The Aguda is a Political Lobbying Group representing the Jewish People of AMERICA. This is not an American Political problem.”

Let me refresh your memory. Did you ever hear of the “Am Echad Delegation”?
So I guess when they want to score brownie points they know how to run to Israel.

Also you wrote “This is not an American Political problem.”
So this is a Israeli problem? GAYS IN YERUSHALAYIM ARE NOT THE PROBLEM OF ALL YIDDEN??
