Aides to Prime Minister Ehud Olmert are working to prevent party primaries towards permitting him to complete his term in office.

According to reports, Olmert�s confidants are meeting with and telephoning party leaders to express Olmert�s opposition to the move, adding that upon his return from Washington, he will work to cancel the planned meeting arranged by Tzachi Hanegbi to set a date for party elections.
