Yerushalayim – Pride parade to go ahead with plans

WHERE ARE THE RABBONIM?–YW Editor.

The Open House organization said today that despite violent threats from various groups it was determined to go ahead with the Pride Parade in Yerushalayim. The organization’s CEO, Noa Satat said, “The violent threats from different groups are turning the Jerusalem parade into a part of a wider, more fundamental struggle. This is not only the struggle of the pride community in Jerusalem, but the struggle of all those who side with human rights and democratic values, and oppose violence and incitement.?

You ask “Where are the Rabbonim?” What is your purpose in posing that question here?
What are you trying to accomplish?
If you want to know what the rabbonim are doing , call them. They won’t ans. you in this forum as they don’t have the internet.
Just to say “Where are the Rabbonim” is just a Stam Kitrug on the rabbonim.

  2. Take it easy there susshow-what the article means to say is:Did you see any Kol korahs from rabbonim out there??Did you see any signs encouraging an organized protest about this chillul hashem and chillul haeretz hakodesh?Did you hear any rabbonim get up by gatherings to address the serious horrifying issue???THAT is what it is supposed to mean. When there were other serious issues…rabbonim addressd the issue WITHOUT calling them up to ask them what they were doing about it.

  3. If that is what was meant, Abi Meleibt, then I take back the harsh Loshon to you Y.W. Editor.

To me “Where are the Rabbonim” is a “dig” on Rabbonim. I hear plenty of that from the not Frum (and even Frum, but not Heimish) community. We don’t need it from Unzirah.
I do agree, A.M. that protsets are in order and that things should be done by everyone.

  4. How can you say that nothing is being done about it. I can’t go anywhere in Yerushalayim without bumping into posters which talk against it. In matter of fact they recently had a hafgana in Kikar Shaboss in which thousands attended. The Gedolim even blamed many of our tzaras including not winning the Lebenon war because we let these type of thing take place in the Holy City. R’ Ovadya recently announced that if the parade is not canceled, the fruma are going to try round up a million people to demonstrate. So one who asks ” where are our Gedolim ” obviously is not in touch with whats going on

  5. it just the zoinist state at its best . what do want from a pluralist nation its going like this for 60year in one way or a other. ‘hisbadlus’ from ‘reshoim’ is the only way

  6. Y.W. Editor– it might be a good idea to rephrase this post.
I agree with “yerushalmi yid”, there are posters all over yerushalayim, and the rabbonim here are outspoken against it.

  7. “Where are the Rabbonim? is NOT a Stam Kitrug on the rabbonim. Its a TRUE statement…. when it comes to voting issues etc. the Rabonim wake up and ask the public to vote, why are they NOT asking us to stop this great Chilul Hashem??? what a shame ! Thanks for asking “Where are the Rabbonim? Keep up the good work by being honest.

  8. Any “constructive” ideas on what the “Rabbonim & Hamon Am of the rest of the world” can do to stop this? We’re listening!!!!!!!
