Yeshivaworld launches new website!!

yw new logo.jpgTo our loyal readers,

Due to the growing need for a full service kosher website devoted to the Frum community, Yeshivaworld has relaunched it’s website today – devoted to offering a wide variety of services filling the many needs of our community.

We would like to take this opportunity to personally thank each and every reader for making YW the most widely read Frum news and information website in the world.

Please bear with us – as we fix the possible glitches which we find in our new system, and stay tuned for additional great features to be added in the very near future.

Please feel free to contact us with any further suggestions and/or feedback.

We look forward to serving you for many years to come.

Your patronizing our advertisers enables us to continue serving you with the level of excellence which you expect from us.

YW Staff.

PS: Please be advised that we are only emailing breaking and important stories. Please check the site regularly throughout the day for updates.

  1. Beutiful redesign. More like a news site, rather than the bloggy feel.
Congratulations and keep up the great work!

  2. Maybe you could conduct a poll around the “blinking/changing” ads. I don’t read the ones that blink/change – maybe other don’t as well. They are very annoying. I really feel it would improve your site in a major way. Thank you

  3. Mazal Tov, Mazal Tov. May you continue only to be mekadaysh shaym and shumayim and hear great news. can i recommend that you have rss feed and fire fox pluge in. thanks for the great work Mazal Tov, Mazal Tov!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. wow – great look. Please keep this site as it has been – a kosher, non political, frum and friendly site. With all these new links we should only be able to go from your site to Torahdiga accepted sites.

  5. Boooooo! Too fancy for me and us yeshivaleit. Gimme the old simple one back. I feel like I just got a new phone that I have to now figure out. Hatzlacha anyways

  6. YW ECELLENT JOB BEUTIFULL JOB AND WEBSITE HOPE THIS NEW SITE WILL ONLY BE POSTET GOOD AND HAPPY NEWS AMEN

    BEHATZLACHA RABAH!!!

  7. always at least one complainer in the bunch. This time it will be me. could you post the comments in a larger font? :o)

Keep up all the great work!

  8. I can’t see Yeshiva World on my cell phone anymore. What am I supposed to do at work now? I have no internet access at work, I am going to have to do my job. 🙁

  9. Its really cool, but I agree with md levine. Can you post the comments in a larger font? Otherwise, great job! keep it up and hatzlocho!

  10. mdlevine, Aishes Chayil, you can do that in your web browser, usually by pressing control and + or – to make it bigger or smaller. On a Mac it would be apple instead of control. It might also be in the View menu at the top of the screen.

  11. amazing job but i like the old one better! IT WAS MORE HEIMISH! TOO MANY BLINKING STUFF BUT OTHERWISE GORGEOUS! SOMETHINGS HAVE 2 CHANGE IT JUST TAKES TIME 2 GET USED 2 IT! THANK U FOR ALL THE CLEAN YIDISHEE NEWS U PROVIDE!

  12. Liked the old format more. Its too busy and way too much going on.Sorry the negative, its just my personal opinion.

  13. Mazel tov.
Now if you will please get rid of all the flashing advertisements ii would love to make Y.W. MY HOMEPAGE.
P.S.THANK YOU Y.W. STAFF FOR YOUR DEVOTION.

  14. Now I will finally stop calling it a blog. WOW I didn’t believe it a real news website with so so so many features. There’s something for everyone out there.

  15. “chachambashi” a bit of practical sense. Do you want to singlehandly donate the thousands it costs to run such a site……………

  16. Great upgrade! Pro look.
alas, flashy ads have an amateur taste. At the most 1 ad (if any) can flash (charge more for the flash).

Also, please provide some sort of forum for threaded conversations for our comments.

    Keep up the great work!

  17. Fabulous, wonderful, magnificent, great etc…

Really did a gr8 job, but I have to leave at least one little negitive after all those compliments…
PLEASE INCREASE THE FONT AND MAKE IT A BIT MORE USER- FRIENDLY (LIKE THE OLD VERSION)…

    otherwise gr8 job…

  18. YW, ignore the negative.

The website is beautiful. The center column is exactly like the old site. Just added the great features on the sides.

    Keep on TRUCKIN’!!!!

  19. Been following you since the Monsey meat disaster on a daily basis.

You have proven yourself over and over again.

May you continue to grow ad Bias Hamoshiach!

  20. beautiful website.

    could not have done better.

gotta hand it to Duvy Perkowsky and his team for their amazing web design.

Can’t forget Ovadia Stavsky for the graphcs work!!!

    CHAZAK!

  21. K-COOL looking.
Like the idea that news is in the middle and editorials are a link. Keep the fonts large, how about comicsans.

  22. BEAUTIFUL JOB. Now all we are waiting for is YW to RE-LAUNCH THE HOTLINE (718 305 5000) for many of us who don’t have a computer with internet readily available, and for those in Israel who also wish to know the news (without needing to go to the Treif Internet Cafe) P.S. with all those adds i’m sure you get sponsors for this worthy cause. Thanx!

  23. Hands up to YW, for doing such a great service to the frum community, The new site is nice, just the font is to small.

  24. This is a really wonderful re-creation of an already wonderful web site. Great job. I hear what people are saying about all the flashing ads, but that’s the way of the world. I like the fact that there are now numbers on the side of each comment. But could you go back to the old way of posting the name of the commentor first and then what they have to say. All the posts have been short in this blog, but some other ones are long and if i know who it is thats writing there are times when i just skip them. No offense to anybody. Thank you. Again, great work.

  25. very professional – the new links & info on community services etc is wonderful – however the old site was more pleasing to the eye 😉 i am not of the bifocal generation and i dont like the small fonts! like everything new – i guess it just takes time to adjust 🙂

    hatzlocha

  26. love the new site to many ads but somones got to pay for all this nice stuff just one problom can u put the exact day of the story not just the month

  27. Wonderful site.

But — PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE — make the news font larger. “Tikvah” says this is for the bifocal generation. I wear TRIfocals. Please respect us elders — some day (im yirtzah HaShem) you will be us!

  28. ahh… that’s better, I can red the comments again. Keep up the great job! (and ignore post 54 – sorry grumpy’s buddy, without negative feedback, we, and I mean all of us, wouldn’t know where to improve)

to all my friends out there have a wonderful Shabbos!

  29. I don’t know – I liked the edgy bare-bones feel of the old site – this one has a lot of stuff going on –

  30. Your hardly a friend of Ha-grump if you offer compliments – even when due.

  31. Is it possible to be able to put an x to close left window when not needed? The main page would then be larger. I find the print a little harder to read since it’s smaller. Thanks, so much.

  32. only 86 (now 87) posts on this thread?

nkusa (which is good for 100 at least) does better on YeshivaWorld, than… YeshivaWorld…
    🙂

seriously, what amazes me (should I say Impresses me) by these posts are ALL the names that I do not recognize.
