Brooklyn: Man Sentenced To 35-Years In Murder Of ‘Ger Tzedek’ Liquor Store Clerk

Kings County District Attorney Charles Hynes today announced the sentencing of Eion Klass, 36, to 35 years in prison for killing a liquor store clerk during an attempted robbery. He pled guilty to Manslaughter in the First Degree and Attempted Robbery in the First Degree on January 10. The sentence for these two crimes was 25 years and 10 years respectively, to run consecutively for the total of 35 years.

In an unrelated case, Klass pled guilty to Robbery in the Second Degree on January 10 for assaulting and robbing the husband of an ex-girlfriend. In that case, he was sentenced today to 10 years in prison.

The sentences for the two separate crimes will run concurrent. He was sentenced before Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice Neil Firetog.

On August 19, 2010, while Klass was on parole, he walked into a Midwood liquor store, wearing a mask and armed with a gun. He attempted to rob the liquor store when clerk, Yoseph Robinson Z”L, tried to stop Klass as he was stealing jewelry from Robinson’s fiancé, who was in the store visiting Robinson. Robinson, who converted to Orthodox Judaism over ten years ago, was shot and killed during the struggle. Klass was arrested the following week after police received information from an NYPD tip line.

In an earlier, unrelated incident, on June 28, 2010, Klass approached Patrick Walters and struck him in the head with a blunt object. When the victim was on the ground, Klass and another individual then repeatedly kicked Walters in the face and body, and stole his chain and cell phone. The victim suffered a concussion and was rushed to Kings County Hospital.

  1. Justice system is broke murder gets 35 years, the person who killed Lieby got 40 years and weberman gewt 135 years and Rusbuskin gets 27 years and russian spies get 10 days and Pollard sits with no end in sight. And the goyim say we have control.

  2. He’s lucky he murdered him instead of abusing him. Murder got him only 35 years while abuse would result in 103 year sentence.

Clearly murder is the saner option.

  3. 2&3: This guy got 35 years for two counts, serving consecutively. Weberman and Rubashkin were convicted of dozens of counts each. While each count may not have required long sentences the sum consecutively adds up to many years. If you commit 100 crimes each requiring 1 year in prison, you get 100 years. Do the math.

As for Pollard, we don’t know the details of the damage he did to deserve the sentence he got. One can do enough damage by disclosing one piece of classified information to cause the deaths of many individuals, and the compromise of billions of dollars of US treasure. Both have happened in the past.

  4. The real difference, as we all know, is that in one case the defendent was a religious Jew. While in the other case the decendent merely murdered a religious Jew.

In the case of a religious Jewish defendent found guilty of molesting, the sentence is 103 years. In the case of a defendent merely found guilty of MURDERING a religious Jew, the sentence is only 35 years.

  5. If weberman would killed his victim after he allegedly (according to her testimony only) abused her he’d probably be out soon enough to dance at his einicklachs chasunas.
