A vehicle approaching the Minharot Tunnel Road Checkpoint in Gush Etzion failed to heed to instructions to slow down for inspection. One of the guards was lightly injured as a result. The driver then turned around and tried fleeing the area.

Security personnel acted in accordance with protocol and fired at the driver, who was lightly wounded.

According to preliminary information from the scene, the driver was in a vehicle that was stolen from nearby Betar Illit.
