MK Hotevely Receives a Bodyguard Due to Death Threats Over Her Visit To Har HaBayis

isscJoining MK Moshe Feiglin and Housing Minister Uri Ariel, Deputy Minister of Transportation (Likud) Tzipi Hotevely has been assigned a bodyguard. Like the others, she received death threats, Channel 2 News reported.

Officials believe the threats against her are connected to her visit to Har Habayis. In addition to the bodyguard, Knesset security officials have instructed her aides to carry a handgun when traveling around with her.

Unlike Hotevely and Feiglin, Housing Minister Uri Ariel this week canceled a planned visit to Har Habayis based on warnings and a request from the ISA (Israel Security Agency – Shin Bet) , with the latter fearing a visit would result in an escalation in Islamic violence and attacks.

  1. I am quite sure this is a silly question. But let’s say it is indeed permissible to go up to HarNot checking meat deliveries more than cursory. Explained how to check each item for tape. Invoices kept but not signed. Explained no way for me to see deliveries were checked.
Did not know where meat is from
HaBayis provided the proper preparations are made. Are those who encourage people to go transgressing the lo sa’aseh of lifnei iveir lo sitein michshol since certainly these government officials and many other visitors are not being tovel etc.?

  2. Its an excellent question but YWN moderator does not allow a proper answer to be posted since it would explain why going up to Har Habayit does not cause the Lifnei Iver.

In the past direct quotes from the Rambam were not allowed – so I think you will have to contact Yehuda Glick in Israel.

Why not track him down – he speaks English fluently.

Call him and demand an answer!

  3. #1. You seem to have pasted something to your post in error.

I know for a fact that Moshe Feiglin does go to the Mikvah first and follows all requirements necessary. He has written about it many times. He is following the Psak from his Rov.

I assume that the others who are Frum did do the proper preparations.

In terms of others who may go but not do the proper preparations, the same can be said about any issue that someone with little or no knowledge does after seeing something that any of us do without them having the complete picture.

Since you have a meat issue in your post, lets say someone not Frum sees you kashering meat and takes meat that wasn’t shechted properly and kashers it the same way, are you responsible for their actions?

  4. Let’s try this again: Sorry.

  5. I was not referring to Moshe Feiglin, but rather to many others who go and certainly use these activists as a “shoulder to lean on”. Just a thought.

Amazing those who care so minimally (Moshe Feiglin excepting) about all other aspects of our religion

are so pious and religious when it comes to something so dubious as going up on the temple Mount?

Or presumably both flipsides of the same?
