PHOTOS: IDF Reservist Who Simply Wants To Continue Giving

IDF Major (reserves) Mordechai Moshe, 63, is a resident of the Gonen neighborhood of the capital. He is responsible for the vehicle fleet of a brigade, serving there for the past 42 years.

“I love the IDF and my country” he explains to MyNet, adding, “I believe the State of Israel needs people”.

Mordechai entered the IDF in 1972 at the age of 17 and four months old. Upon completion of basing training, he served for a long time in the 869th Brigade, which became the 14th Brigade down the road.

During the Yom Kippur War in 1973, he was a driver, responsible for getting ammunition to tanks in the field”.

“We have nowhere else to go, no other country”, cites Mordechai.

Mordechai’s son Ofir is following in his footsteps, signing a form to continue volunteering in reserve duty at the age of 41. He continues serving in the communications battalion in the Central Command.
