Rockets Fired into Eshkol Council Region (UPDATED 14:50 IL)


14:14 IL: Four rockets landed in an open area in the Eshkol Regional Council district of southern Israel a short time ago, not too far from an area community. Baruch Hashem there are no reports of injuries or loss of life.

It is being reported that it appears the rockets were fired from Sinai, Egypt and not Gaza. Additional information will be reported as it becomes available.

14:28:
Rockets landed south of Kerem Shalom Crossing, katyusha rockets fired into the Eshkol Council community. One landed in an esrog orchard and other near residential area but Baruch Hashem, no injuries.

14:50:
A source in the IDF Southern Command is quoted by Walla News explaining the rocket fire was indeed from the Dahaniya area of Gaza, close to Sinai, in the hope of deceiving the IDF into believing the rockets did not come from Gaza, but from Sinai.
