NYPD Looking For Suspect Wanted In Assault In Flatbush

msAn assault occurred this past Saturday afternoon in Midwood, Brooklyn. This incident happened Elm Avenue and East 12th street. Councilman–elect Chaim Deutsch advises the community to remain vigilant and says in a press release that the incident is a “knockout” attack. The official NYPD flyer is posted below, and lists the incident as an assault.

A young woman and her child were walking along Elm Avenue when she was punched from behind after her attacker passed her. The attacker is described as a clean shaven dark skin male with a roundish face, medium build, 5’7– 5’9 in height, approximately 30-35 years old, 170-185 lbs, wearing a black wool ski cap, short braids coming out of the back of the cap, a dark green nylon jacket and dark baggy jeans. He was carrying a back pack.

Councilman–elect Deutsch is in constant communication with NYPD commanders and detectives, who have assured him they are doing everything possible to apprehend those responsible.

Anyone with information is urged to call NYPD Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS. All calls are confidential.

Because the perpetrator(s) responsible for these vicious attacks are still at large, Councilman-elect Deutsch strongly encourages the community to consider the following suggestions:

-Always be aware of your surroundings -Walk in well lit and populated areas
-Be cautious of a suspicious person or group.
-Never allow yourself to become distracted by your cell phone, head phones etc.
-Always know your location in case you need to call for help.

Any suspicious person(s) or activity should be reported to 911 immediately.

  1. When the city council and state gov.
Reconvenes pressure must be brought to quickly pass stiff laws severely punishing those participating in the knockouts. Don’t
Call it a game. It is not

  2. “The attacker is described as a clean shaven dark skin male”

Why does YWN feel the need to be more PC than the NYPD? If you read the report below, it describes the suspect as “BLACK”, not as “dark skinned”! Is this the new DeBlasio/Clark way?
