Israel: Most Abortion Requests are Approved

abIn 2012, the state committee that receives abortion requests received 21,689 requests. The committee approved 97% of the requests, the Ministry of Health reports.

A total of 20,063 abortions were approved. 50% of the pregnancies were the result of “illegal relations” under the state’s penal code, incest or extramarital relations”. In 20% of the cases the request was approved for fear the pregnancy placed the mother in danger.

  1. How many of those “illegal” relations resulted in criminal prosecutions? If that many women are having extramarital relations, doesn’t that support those who argue that hilonim are all safek mamzerim?

By comparison, how many Jewish civilians died in terror attacks? How many soldiers died in combat? When you look at it that way, it seems that Palestinian terrorists are less of a threat to the Jews in Eretz Yisrael than zionist abortionists? In America, we don’t get worked up over abortion since it isn’t out kin who are being killed (which is why the Catholics and Evangelicals get so upset – its their cousins who are being butchered).

  2. “illegal relations” under the state’s penal code, incest or extramarital relations”

“Ministry of Health”??? LOL! Disgusting! So the Israeli Government is rewarding these wicked sinners?! These pigs & their partners should be arrested for adultery, not “rewarded” by murdering their baby to cover up their deed!!! Some “Jewish” “Nation”! A society that rewards

  3. As noted the last time the logo above was used, abortion, at least for one Chayav in 613 Mitzvos, is NOT murder. There is no question that “abortion on demand” (as opposed to those circumstances where Halacha does allow abortion) is Assur al pi halacha, but it is NOT MURDER.

YWN – is there a reason you keep using this anti-halachic logo?

    an Israeli Yid

  4. An Israeli Yid – you keep on repeating this but that’s a very simplistic blanket statement and limited interpretation. It falls under the prohibition of murder in bereshis, and there are opinions that that’s even for Yidden too. Whether or not the abortionist is a “rotzeach” depends on the circumstances, most likely.
