Report: Brooklyn Air Has High Ozone Levels


eAn annual report is raising concerns about the air quality in New York City.

The “State of the Air” report was done by the American Lung Association and was conducted by testing the quality of the air throughout New York City. High ozone levels, which can cause coughing and asthma attacks, were found citywide.

Environmental advocates say they’re now encouraging city officials to take action.

Nationwide, the New York metro area is ranked in the report as the 12th most polluted in the nation, up five places from last year.
