Yerushalayim Prefers Yishai Over Deri

deyiAccording to the Maariv roving poll, Jerusalemites prefer Eli Yishai’s Yachad party over Shas and its leader, Aryeh Deri. The results of the roving poll were released on Wednesday morning, 15 Shevat.

Leading is Likud with 28.85% of the vote followed by Naftali Bennett and Bayit Yehudi with 15.1%, Labor/The Movement with 13.09%, Yachad with 10.07%, and Shas with 8.05%.

Yahadut Hatorah did not fare well either, emerging with 4.36%, Kahlon 3.36%, and in last place, Yisrael Beitenu.

Maariv adds that many people who passed the polling station and voted told them they are disenchanted and unpleased elections are being held because they do not believe the elections will result in true change.

The voting station moved to a number of areas in the capital including Machane Yehuda, Beit HaKerem and the Central Bus Station.

  1. Many residents of yerushalayim have contempt for Deri and have lost much of their respect for R Yosef whose actions and rhetoric over the past few weeks have shown an alarming lack of common sense and respect for the intelligence of the Shas voters. A rejection of Deri at the voting booths may result in reconsideration of who should hold the title of Rishon Latzion.

  2. The 8.05%.that said “Shas” will probably vote Yachad, the’re just afraid Deri’s henchmen will hear them say that….lol

  3. A even poll in Jerusalem is almost impossible. Either you are speaking with seculars in their area, or with religious (each of a different opinion) depending on the area.

  4. No surprise here!!

The three polling areas are more aligned to YISHAI than Deri. Eli was a frequent Machane Yehudah – chevrah man. These polling spots touch on the ‘regular, working, traditional, & right wing citizens’

    Your comment made no sense.

The Rishon Letzion, hagaon Haraav Yitzchak Yosef Shlita does NOT and is NOT ALLOWED to comment or involve himself in ANY political matters.
    (due to his govt position)

    And that’s why he doesnt.

Your disrespectful comments against him show your complete lack of understanding in the Israeli Political System at large.

Keep your disgraceful comments against rabbonim elsewhere please.
