It is not reported how long the ban on laborers will continue in Betar.

The Gush Etzion Regional Council reports it will be banning Arab laborers from its communities for two days, Wednesday and Thursday, 1 and 2 Cheshvan.

  1. Baruch Hashem SOMEONE has “Einav B’Rosho”. Hopefully other communities will follow this approach. One should not have a “KELEV RA BISOCH BEISO” By giving these ROCHTZIM a PARNASSA, we are actually encouraging them. They only understand the power of the purse.

  2. It should be noted that the arab city of Husan lies right at the entrance of Beitar and banning these workers from coming to work, while I agree with the decision in theory, it could further exacerbate the rising tensions רחמנא ליצלן. May the שומר ישראל protect His kinderlech בכל מקום שהם.

  3. Finally, taking a little tip from Bat Ayin. No reason to make a time limit on this. Employ fellow Jews at every level of labor and no one will be disappointed.

  4. I agree it sounds like a reasonable solution, but it’s a short term solution that will inevitably lead to an escalation of the situation. Basically, the Gaza leadership and Hamas keep their people poor and desperate to help create a nation of martyrs. Taking away jobs just makes more desperate people willing to do anything. Sadly, I can’t offer a solution that would work. We need hashems help. Pray.

  5. This is the best solution so far, for this crisis. It is imperative that every parent that has their child in Israel demand from the Yeshivos and Seminaries that there must be no hired help other then Ameinu Bnei Yisroel.
Otherwise we will send our children elsewhere.
The additional cost involved is definitely worth the price, for the safety of our children.

This escalation has nothing to do with jobs. This is brutal murder in the name of religion. Not any different then the crusades. Don’t fool yourselves.

Children from wealthy families, while in medical school get radicalized. this has zero to do with jobs.

  6. Sariray, that sounds nice but is not how it happens. Yes they keep the people poor, and they are in general sitting idol and bored, so this is a “meaningful” way to spend the day for these losers. But that is because they are simply educated to HATE. They are being taught, with all sorts of proof, that Israel is the occupier of their land, murderous infidels, and so on and so on, and must be destroyed. Rage and rampant terrorism is condoned and honored. There is plenty of money in benefits for their heroes, do not forget. And above all, they are not a culture that values life. Surviving an attack is not important to them. Being a martyred hero is. This was not a short term solution in Bat Ayin, and the Jews there live in close proximity to several hostile villages. They are not responsible to worry about the conditions the PA puppet government keeps their people in, and neither does any other Jewish community. Chayeychem kodmim. That is long-term.
