In the coming days, the annual kenos of Chabad shluchim around the world will open in NYC and according to organizers, some 3,500 shluchim will be in attendance. Chabad officials explain that today, the global army of shluchim stands 4,325 strong, stationed in 86 countries, manning 3,500 Chabad Houses.

There are 960 Chabad centers in the USA and Canada alone. In the past year Chabad Houses were opened for a first time in Angola, Ghana, Jamaica and the Virgin Islands.

There are 322 Chabad Houses in Eretz Yisrael manned by 600 shluchim.

One highlight each year is the traditional group photo of thousands of Shluchim at the front of the building on 770 Eastern Parkway – Chabad’s central headquarters.
