IDF Continues Drilling Along Gaza Border

tunThe IDF’s Southern Command is paying attention to complaints from Gaza border community residents and according to officials, drills are operating all along the border, dozens of them, checking every area cited by reports from citizens who explain they hear drilling all night

IDF does claim to have a classified system, a one of a kind system that can be effective against tunnels. It is added the budget required to battle the tunnels is NIS 2.5 billion for all 65 km of the border and if it will be deployed only along a critical 20 kilometer area, then the required budget is NIS 900 billion. During a visit to the Gaza border area on Wednesday, 24 Shevat, Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon promises there is sufficient money for whatever the IDF needs and this money will be available as needed

The IDF has to decide if the tunnels should be attacked now, at this stage or to wait for a later date, Channel 2 News reports. It appears NIS 300 billion is being released immediately to permit beginning to operate the new classified system along the 20km area known as critical section of the border with southern Israel.
