Border Policeman Indicted for Leaking Information to Lehava Activists

mishBorder Policeman Matan Amichai, 23, has been indicted for allegedly forwarding information to Lehava organization leader Bentzion Gupstein in December 2015 pertaining to two Jewish women traveling to Eilat with Arab men. Amichai discovered this during a routine vehicle check near Silwan in the eastern capital, as the four were in the vehicle at the time.

The border policeman took a picture of the ID card of one of the women, forwarding it to former right-wing MK Dr. Michael Ben-Ari with an explanation. Ben-Ari sent it on to Gupstein.
