Chilul Hashem: Israel Promotes Toeiva Community at International Tourism Event R’L

toevaBeginning Wednesday 29 Adar-I, the Ministry of Tourism will open the Israel exhibition stand at ITB in Berlin, the world’s largest travel trade show. Around 11,000 representatives from 180 countries are expected to participate in the 5-day show, and it will host around 180,000 visitors including representatives of the tourism industry worldwide, journalists, and others. Around 180 Israelis will travel to Berlin to participate in the show.

The Israeli exhibition stand is spread over 690 square meters, and representatives of the Israeli tourism industry will be in attendance, including hoteliers, travel agents, airline representatives, and tourism organizations. This year the Israel stand has been upgraded, and will present the world of Israeli tourism in an innovative, inviting fashion using state of the art technologies, visual means, and plenty of interaction – both on social networks and by offering various activities for visitors.

Every year, the Israeli stand is considered an attraction, and this year street theater actors will also join in, and there will be a photography booth and a caricaturist to provide personal souvenirs from Israel. Likewise, for the first time an Israeli drag queen will attend, in cooperation with Tel Aviv Global Administration, that will promote to the LGBT community in Germany the Gay Pride Parade that will take place in June in Tel Aviv R”L.

Every year the Ministry of Tourism surprises with a unique attraction, and this year it will be humus beer that will be produced from chickpea flour especially for the show. The unique beer that links Israeli and German cultures, will be served at the professional tourism meeting to be held by the Israel Government Tourist Office during the conference. Invitees include 150 leading figures in the German tourism industry.

Germany is considered one of the world’s primary markets, with a highly developed culture of traveling abroad (over 80 million trips annually). Likewise, 40% of German tourists who visited Israel returned for another visit.

The ITB trade show is considered the most important show in the field, and representatives attend from all over the world. The show occupies a total exhibition area of 160,000 square meters. Germany is the fourth largest source country for incoming tourism to Israel, with a total of 198,000 tourists annually, and has a growth potential in light of the new opportunities for increasing the number of flights and reducing ticket prices as a result of the Open Skies agreement (there are currently around 75 direct flights weekly on the Israel-Germany route).

  1. And that’s why American Jews should liquidate everything they have here to settle in the State of Israel. Aliya is irony incarnate. Y’rida is more appropriate.

  2. “Shumu Shamayim”!

Some wonder why G-d fearing people and/or chareidim oppose Israel!?

An old school British member of academia could say that their original support for the Jewish return to Zion was premised on their dream that through it would come about a new biblical covenant with the world and instead all the world got was this … secularist state.

    THAT’S CHILLUL HASHEM

The Arab leadership have said of all the reasons for their opposition to the state of Israel, the single greatesst one is the degenerate morality that the state flaunts and foists on their region.

    THAT’S CHILLUL HASHEM

  3. The issue disgusts me as it does all of us. Where I part from the first three posts that are here as I write this, is that for people who purport to see Yad Hashem in everything, it truth, you only see it when you want to.

It is false that ALL or not even a majority opposed the formation of the State and many that did back then changed their positions as time went on.

To say that Arab leadership opposes Israel on moral grounds in the height of insanity. They are among the least moral people in the world.

I suggest you go learn Novi and see the Nevuah’s that are unfolding before our eyes. I know you thing it’s better to live among Eisav, but where will you RU when the time comes.

Just maybe that State is the way it is because you make excuses to stay put and avoid changing things.

  4. Just pointing out the pashkeveil is from 5772, and the article mentions nothing about the “toeva community”.
To the above comments, by your logic, I presume you’d rather live in a country run by kosvei kesubos l’zcharim!
