Report: US President Obama May Try to Divide Yerushalayim Before Leaving Office

obThe Wall Street Journal is reporting that US President Barak Obama may use his remaining months in office to use United Nations Security Council resolutions to compel Israel and the PA (Palestinian Authority) to sign a final agreement that will result in once again dividing Yerushalayim.

According to the report, Obama is probing the possibility of compelling both sides to adhere to his plan, which will be based on resolutions passed by the international organization. In addition, the report, which is based on information from senior US officials, states Obama’s plan could also dictate US policy vis-à-vis Israel and the PA for the next US leader.

It is possible that Obama will not take a different position and while the United States has vetoed many a UN resolution, acting at the behest of Israel, the White House may not take a different role and permit them to pass.

According to the report, included in the Obama plan are the following:

· Official PA recognition of the State of Israel

· Abandoning demands of ‘right of return’ for so-called Palestinian refugees

· A halt of all Israeli construction over the Green Line

· Israeli recognition of the capital of Palestine, which will be comprised of areas of the eastern capital today

  1. Israel should not respond at all to this, and just let the other side refuse to the terms – which they will do.

  2. Whatever happened to his promising the world in his first year in office that Anerica will no longer dictate to the world and hold other nations accountable to our dictates?

  3. So Obama has failed with his historic healthcare law, he has failed miserably with his foreign policy of embracing belligerent nations. So now he will try to make one last ditch effort to “make history”- at the expense of the Jewish nation. Yemach Shemoi.
