After A Year In Government, Deri Earns A Poor Rating

deriMarking a year since the current government assumed office Channel 2 News commissioned a poll to determine the measure of satisfaction among the public regarding the performance of Shas leader, Interior Minister Aryeh Deri.

The poll reveals most of the public is dissatisfied with Deri as only 11% of respondents are satisfied with his performance while 58% express disappointment.

The poll was conducted by the Shiluv Institute involving 455 Jewish men and women over the age of 18. Deri’s average rating was 2 out of a maximum of 5.

Deri is doing better among the younger voters (18-29) with a 16% satisfaction rating while 51% are disappointed.

The poll also monitored different media towards determining what is said about Deri. This was conducted by ‘Buzzilla’, which does brand monitoring as well as social media analysis and research. Buzzilla monitored different forums, news sites, blogs, and social media to determine what surfers feel about Deri.

At the onset, 48% of comments about Deri were negative as opposed to only 23% positive. Today, a year later, while a police probe is ongoing against him for alleged illegal real estate dealings, the negative comments have climbed to 50% and the positive dropped to 20%.

  1. but one should ask how much of the anti-Deri feeling reflects how he does his job (which he appears to do with the same integrity, fairness and non-partisanship as the other cabinet members), as opposed to what he is (too frum, too Sefardi).

  2. I think it’s about time that he retires and devotes his time sitting in Bais Hamedrish and learn.Enough wish the corrupt politics
