Jerusalem Chief Ashkenazi Rabbi HaGaon HaRav Aryeh Stern Shlita gave a shiur on the inyan of ‘achdus between Tisha and Tu B’Av, the Churban and Geula’ to members of a course to become certified as members of the IDF Rabbinate. Among those present for the shiur were outgoing IDF Chief Rabbi Brigadier-General Rafi Peretz as well as a number of senior IDF Rabbinate officers.

The shiur was hosted in Jerusalem’s Old City Beit Knesset Ohel Yitzchak near the Kosel. Rabbi Stern gave a chizuk to all present for continuing to spread Yiddishkheit to battalions in the standing and reserve military.

Rabbi Stern called on them to stand firm regarding matters of Yiddishkheit towards fulfilling their spiritual mission by spreading the words of Hashem to soldiers and officers alike.
