Two Nefesh B’Nefesh Aliyah Centers To Open In Carmiel And Tel Aviv

1Integrated into its 14-year model of service, Nefesh B’Nefesh announced its most comprehensive post-Aliyah programming to date to help new arrivals acclimate, integrate and thrive in Israel. Dedicated to making each Oleh, and every Aliyah, a success, a full program will provide Israel’s new citizens with tools that touch on all aspects of their new lives, broken down into four key areas; ‘Life in Israel’, ‘Employment’, ‘Israel Exploration’ and ‘Social Integration’.

Having celebrated bringing its 50,000th immigrant to Israel this summer, Nefesh B’Nefesh has always upheld that arriving in Israel is only the beginning of the journey and sought to facilitate this process as best as possible. Through an array of workshops, webinars and events, an enhanced set of post-Aliyah programming will continue to support the Nefesh B’Nefesh mission of enabling Olim to flourish in the State of Israel.

“We are delighted to further expand on our current range of post-Aliyah programming to continue giving our new Olim as much guidance and support with their Aliyah process as possible, something the organization has always been dedicated to,” said Rabbi Yehoshua Fass, Founder and Executive Director of Nefesh B’Nefesh. “We are not only proud to have brought over 50,000 Jews to Israel, but are devoted to providing each and every one of them with the tools needed to integrate into Israeli society, the workforce and continue having a significant influence on the successful development of the State of Israel.”

In response to the growth of Oleh communities throughout the country, two new Aliyah centers will be inaugurated in Carmiel and Tel-Aviv, in addition to the organization’s headquarters in Jerusalem, its Beersheva office and the NBN-FIDF Center for Lone Soldiers in Tel-Aviv. As such, Olim will have the opportunity to participate in hundreds of workshops, webinars and events at these five locations.

Covering a wide range of topics, such as navigating the health care system, higher education counseling and understanding taxes as a new Oleh, the ‘Life in Israel’ programs will ensure a helping hand is given throughout the process, while ‘Israel Exploration’ and ‘Social Integration’ allow new arrivals to get to know Israel inside-out and connect with other Olim and Israelis alike.

In addition, Nefesh B’Nefesh has recently launched a dynamic online job board www.nbn.org.il/jobboard which assists Olim in search of employment in Israel.

Over 500 new positions were posted from over 200 different companies in its first month of operation. The job board connects employers in search of quality employees directly with qualified Olim. The dedicated Nefesh B’Nefesh employment team guides Olim through interview workshops, career boot camps and help with resumes for Olim in search of their first job or establishing careers in Israel. Workshops and seminars on how to join the ‘Start-Up Nation’ and build a business will also be offered by dedicated and seasoned experts with networking opportunities for those looking to expand their professional network in Israel.

The 2017 enhanced program of post-Aliyah services will be integrated into the organization’s current support for new immigrants who are able to meet with advisors about employment, higher education, post-Aliyah navigation and general guidance. Additionally, Nefesh B’Nefesh will also run monthly one-on-one meetings with experts in the fields of accounting, real estate, law and higher education.
