Today, Yom Shlishi Parshas B’Shalach – Parshas Ha’Man

Today, Tuesday of Parshas B’Shalach is a special segulah to recite tefillas Ha’Man from the weekly sedra. This can be found in perek 16, posuk 4 until the end of the chapter. One should recite it in the shnayim mikra v’echad targum format, with the concentration and understanding that our sustenance and livelihood come from HaKadosh Baruch Hu.

Perhaps in these turbulent fiscal times, such thoughts and tefillos take on a new meaning.

Other tefillos and actions deemed a segulah for a livelihood include the recitation of ‘shar bitachon’ from the sefer Chovavot Levovos, to honor a wife in a fitting fashion, reciting Mizmor L’Dovid Hashem Ro’i Lo Echzar prior to a meal, reciting Ba’me Madlichim on Friday nights, Rava D’Ravin at seudas shlishis, making a special meal on Rosh Chodesh, going to mikve daily, davening with a minyan and reciting birchas ha’mazon with concentration, reading it from a siddur.
