Syria Reports Six Dead As A Result Of IAF Retaliatory Bombing Attack

The Syrian human rights watchdog reported on Sunday that at least six people were killed in the Israeli Air Force strikes throughout Syria, including foreign nationals.

According to the Monitoring Center, there are members of the Syrian regime and members of the militias supporting him, who have Syrian and foreign citizenship.

Meanwhile, US President Trump’s continues to publicly and unequivocally support Israel, saying that “Israel is a loyal ally of the United States and we support its right to defend itself against Syrian forces and Iranian-backed militias in southern Syria.”

“Israel has the right to defend itself from aggressive actions, and Israel is our closest partner in the region and we fully support its right to defend itself against the threat to its territory and its residents,” Pentagon spokesman Adrian Rankin-Galway said.

As noted, yesterday there was a serious escalation in the security situation in the north of the country. The incident began when an Iranian drone penetrated Israel, the air force destroyed the vehicle. In response, the Israeli Air Force attacked a wide range of targets in Syrian territory. Anti-aircraft missiles were shot and hit an Israeli F-16. The two pilots ejected, with one sustaining serious injuries and the second light. Updates from Rambam Medical Center on the two on Sunday afternoon indicate the seriously injured crew member is improving and is now listed in moderate condition.

In another related matter, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu at the start of Sunday’s cabinet meeting added, “A few minutes ago I spoke with the navigator and was pleased to hear that he is standing up, with all that entails. I was also pleased to hear that there has been an improvement in the condition of the pilot. We wish both of them a quick and full recovery. We salute our pilots, soldiers and commanders, especially the Chief of Staff. They are guarding the State of Israel and we are proud of them.

“Yesterday we dealt severe blows to the Iranian and Syrian forces. We made it unequivocally clear to everyone that our rules of action have not changed one bit; we will continue to strike at every attempt to strike at us. This has been our policy and it will remain our policy.

“I would also like to say that I am proud of you, the citizens of Israel. Yesterday we again proved that in moments of crisis we know how to come together and rebuff our enemies and guard our country.”
