Hamas leader Khaled Meshal, who is based in Syria, reported that despite good relations with Syria and Iran, he is not controlled by either.

�Just like Hamas is not involved in the decision-making process with others, the same hold true regarding Iran or Syrian control over us,� he added.

In the interview with the Kuwaiti media, he added that regarding negotiations via turkey between Syria and Israel, it is �just a tactic,� stating with certainty that Israel is not genuinely willing to relinquish control of the Golan Heights.
