Haaretz is reporting that IDF troops have fired atthree armed men trying to infiltrate Israel, killing one person andseriously wounding a second. The Jerusalem Post and Ynetare reporting that shots were first fired at IDF troops patrolling the border, prompting the IDF troops to return fire.
All media agenciesare reporting thatthere is reason to believe that the incident was drug related – as it occurred near the village of Ghajar, which is split between the two countries by a UN-demarcated line, and has become known for drug smuggling.
