The IDF has launched a centralized ‘moked’ emergency dispatcher system designed to permit travelers throughout Yehuda, Shomron and the Jordan Valley to phone one central number for assistance. The new number, from landline and cellular telephones is 1208.

Prior the new system, there was a ‘moked’ dispatcher in each district, with different phone numbers for Chevron, Gush Etzion, Benjamin Council, Shomron Council, and Jordan Valley areas. The new system will place calls for assistance in one central locale, permitting motorists to use one number in any of the areas under the new coverage plan.
