Five homes in Buxton, North Carolina, collapsed into the ocean between 2 and 3 p.m. on Tuesday during high surf and waves from Hurricane Imelda and Hurricane Humberto.

A total of 17 homes on the Outer Banks have been lost to the ocean since 2020.
