8:10PM EST: The Kiryas Joel FD is on the scene at 9 Ruzhin Road – and are reporting heavy fire throughout the 2nd and 3rd floors of a three story private home. The fire reportedly started in the Sukkah. The fire departments in numerous neighboring towns have been requested to respond for mutual aid assistance.
Additionally, YWN has been informed by credible sources that there was a delayed response time by responding emergency personnel (approximately 5 minutes), due to the new concrete barrier on Mountain Road.

First I don’t beleve that it was a delay. Because in that section ATZi TEMORiM wher the fire was there was a lot of Hatzolah & fire volenters & the KJ fire trucks are also in that section wher that don’t have to go true the blocked road. & secon the village officals opend before the Zaman the rd that move the baricates. SO now again thay trying to fight with county officails. Village officals remember there is a Baschafer of the world
I’m sure the fire dept. could have save this house if they were there faster.
Would someone out there answer a question….would KJ FD or Hatzolah come to the aid of another department if they requested it on Shabbos or Yomtov?
to #4, yes, there is already a pesak from the vaad arba arutzes that when there is a mutual agreement on help between yiden and goyim on pikiach nefesh, the yiden are supposed to follow the agreement even on Shabbos or Yomtov
