A 20-year-old man from Sarasota, Florida, Lucas Alexander Temple, has been federally indicted on weapons charges, including possessing an unregistered firearm and a firearm with a removed serial number, the U.S. Department of Justice says.

Federal agents say a November search of his home uncovered a written plan for a racially motivated act of violence, along with Nazi and mass-shooting propaganda.

Investigators say Temple also communicated online with others about carrying out violence.
