🕯 Ori Makhtiev Z”L, an 18-year-old Border Police officer, was killed Sunday in a shooting incident at a home in Azor, central Israel.

Makhtiev sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head. Initial police findings indicate the shooting may have been accidental and occurred while the individuals were handling their weapons.

Two people involved in the incident have been detained for questioning. Military Police are also participating in the investigation.
