Nickolay Mladenov, the Board of Peace’s top envoy to Gaza, announced that the United States, Qatar, Egypt and Turkey have agreed on a new “framework” for rebuilding Gaza while advancing Palestinian political unity and a negotiated resolution.

“It is now on the table. It requires one clear choice: full decommissioning by Hamas and every armed group, with no exceptions and no carve-outs,” Mladenov said. “In this season of hope, may those responsible make the right choice for the Palestinian people.”

He added: “As the blessed days of Eid al-Fitr are upon us, serious efforts persist to chart a hopeful path for Gaza.”

Despite the ongoing Iran war slowing momentum behind President Donald Trump’s broader peace initiative, officials say efforts to advance Gaza reconstruction are continuing.
