LaGuardia Airport shut down one of its two runways Wednesday after inspectors discovered a two-inch ground depression near Runway 4/22.
• Officials said there is no immediate safety concern and closed the runway as a precaution while crews conduct testing and assess the area.
• The airport hopes to complete any necessary repairs overnight and reopen the runway Thursday morning. The airport’s other runway remains open.
• The closure comes weeks after the same runway was shut down for two days following the discovery of a sinkhole near a taxiway.

Depression discovered in New York. What a surprise.
It makes sense when the light at the end of the tunnel is New Jersey.
