BD”E: Prominent Belzer Chosid Reb Yehuda Aryeh Strauss Z”L Nifter At 66

A wave of sorrow swept through the Belzer community in Jerusalem with the passing of Reb Yehuda Aryeh Strauss Z”L, a respected and longtime Belzer chassid, following a prolonged illness. He was 66 years old.

Born in Bnei Brak, Reb Yehuda Aryeh was raised in a distinguished Belzer family and was educated in the movement’s institutions before continuing his studies at the Belzer yeshiva in Jerusalem. Throughout his life, he remained deeply connected to the Belzer kehillah and was regarded as a beloved and devoted chassid.

Friends and acquaintances remember him as a warm and humble individual who dedicated himself to his family, Torah, and the values of the Belzer chassidus.

Despite his declining health in recent months, he was able to participate in the bris of a grandson just weeks ago, a joyous occasion that would be among his final family celebrations.

He is survived by his mother, wife, only son, daughters, sons-in-law, siblings, grandchildren, and extended family.

The levayah will take place Thursday at 11:00 a.m. from the Sanhedria Funeral Home in Jerusalem. The levayah will pass through the main Belzer Beis Medrash in Kiryat Belz before continuing to Har HaMenuchos for kevurah.
