Disturbing footage released Tuesday from the Peleg Yerushalmi protest on Highway 4 has sparked outrage after showing a young yeshiva bochur with blood covering his face following clashes between demonstrators and police.
The video shows the visibly shaken bochur moments after what protesters claim was a violent encounter with police during efforts to disperse the demonstration.
The protest, which blocked a major section of Highway 4, descended into fierce confrontations as police moved to clear the roadway and restore traffic flow. Witnesses and demonstrators accused officers of using excessive force against protesters who were sitting on the road.
Additional footage from the scene appears to show officers forcibly dragging demonstrators from the highway. Other protesters were seen lying on the ground after being removed, with torn clothing and apparent injuries visible in several videos shared online.
Police have not yet publicly addressed the specific allegations shown in the footage. The videos have fueled renewed criticism from Chareidi leaders and activists, who have long accused authorities of employing harsher tactics against Chareidi demonstrators than against other protest movements.

Horrifying! How did his mom let him go join a protest that was inevitably going to turn violent??
What violent clash? he was blocking cars. he should have been run over. would that have been better?
Just stop these protests they clearly are causing so much damage to the demonstrators and are not helping what they are protesting against. Go home and find something to do with your life. and no filing a complaint with the police wont help. they tried that when someone was killed and it didn’t work.
All the commentators who have/will comment that people blocking traffic deserve this…..I won’t debate the point. Maybe these protestors do deserve it.
But the absolute, positive, undisputable point is that the police in this country are the most violent, disgusting, cruel, inhumane animals. As is every single politician in this corrupt country. Including harasha hamerusha Moshe Lion yemach Shimo Vezichro. And everyone who lives here knows it [except AnIsraeliYid whose love of being the perfect citizen blinds him to anything else] and anyone who doesn’t live here should not comment.
I would go to the rosh yeshiva that ordered these “yungeleit” to go protest and pull him out by his beard and beat him for being stupid.
he is a hero fighting for Am Israel. May Hashem reward him for all his mesirus nefesh.
dumb000,
Some hero. The Gedolei Hador, Shlita ordered that everyone remain the the Beis Medrash and not protest.
You are fighting an evil government that even Arab countries don’t allow this immorality. Arabs don’t allow gay parades in any of their countguries. Arabs don’t allow eating pigs. Arabs have more respect for religion than Israelis. The whole goal of the Zionist leadership is to turn Jews into Israelis without Torah.
While not in any way making light of the situation in EY and what bochurim and kollel yungerleit are facing ר”ל and absolutely one has to be נושא בעול with אחינו בני ישראל, but should we be asking ourselves, is this truly what HKBH wants us yidden to do? Does He really want young boys that should be learning in Yeshiva running into oncoming traffic and putting themselves in situations where at best it is ספק סכנת נפשות? Do these boy’s parents let their young boys sit on highways and block traffic and then get into confrontations with drivers and arriving police forces? Is this what their Roshei Yeshiva tell them to do? Is this the way HKBH wants us to react to this עת צרה? I think Gedolim have to make their voices heard before we have another tragedy because it’s bound to happen if this continues..
What exactly do you expect them to do just sit and keep letting them get arrested one by one for doing what the elected government allowed them to do legally until the Supreme Court and that Nazi attorney general decided they had enough? That’s not how laws are changed in a democracy. They didn’t even do Target benchmarks by year in some form of compromise, they just criminalized all of them in one night and sanctioned them to the level of terrorists. A country like that has no right to stand anymore especially while they’re continuing to support Arabs across the board
Yanai Hamelech and his hencemen all over again. I think this is the nicest and aidele way of bringing this out! Remember how he killed thousands? Israeli gov are his descendants
dina di malkhuta dina. whoever is encouraging these “protests” is responsible for the consequences.
For those who are horrified by this, consider what you would do if you were
A. A policeman whose job it is to restore order. Trying to use reason and “light force” doesn’t work. What is your next step?
B. Someone stuck in traffic because of a roadblock protest. Would you really just sit there and say, ” Ah, what joy to see people protesting for Torah. I would gladly sit here in traffic for another week as a zchus for this!
@shloime
There is no malchus there, of course.
As well, since you mentioned DDD, though, why not also cover the parameters of that halachic concept rather than just inventing that it applies here?
Shloime, Rocky etc You may not agree with those protests, but firstly, they don’t come in vacuum – the undemocratic rulers of the zionist non-state of Israel have asked for it. Hundreds of Bochrim and yungerleit are being arrested, including in the midst of a shiva for a young father, a day after the chassunoh in front his kalloh etc etc and ALL FOR THE SIN OF LEARNING TORAH, while they still calling it a “Jewish State”!
2ndly, there are ways in dealing with protests. If the police wouldn’t interfere, the protest would end by itself, tearing down protesters pants, is not part of the protocol, kicking and beating unarmed boys instead of just lifting them up off the street is unnecessary brutality.
Finally, compare how the police acted against kaplan protesters and how they are treating chareidim.
