Trump Postpones Housing Bill Signing, Says Congress Must Pass SAVE America Act First

BREAKING: President Trump canceled a scheduled White House signing ceremony for a major bipartisan housing affordability bill, saying he will not support the legislation until Congress first passes the SAVE America Act, his election-related proposal.

In a Truth Social post, Trump said the housing bill signing is being postponed “until such time as we pass the desperately needed SAVE AMERICA ACT, which I consider to be a National Emergency.” The bill, known as the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act, had passed both chambers of Congress with broad bipartisan support. Speaker Mike Johnson and House leaders were holding a news conference promoting the legislation when Trump announced the cancellation.
