The Naming Committee of Betar Illit convened and approved the naming of dozens of new streets, most in Givah Gimmel with some in Givah Bet. In keeping with the minhag of the chareidi city, streets are named after rabbonim and Gedolei Torah.

The committee also approved naming three streets after worthy rebitzens O”H including Maalot Batsheva Kanievsky, Maalot Chaya Mushka after the Lubavitcher Rebitzen and Maalot Yael Cohen after Rebitzen Cohen, wife of the head of the Shas Moetzas Gedolei Yisrael, Chacham HaGaon Rav Shalom Cohen.
