Yuval Rabin May Support Likud

In an extremely surprising move, Yuval Rabin, a son of slain Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin, told Channel 2 TV’s Meet the Pres on motzei Shabbos that he is indeed contemplating a formal announcement of support for the Likud in the upcoming general election.

Rabin stated there is an element of maturity since his father was murdered 13 years ago. “I am not ruling anything out” he explained.

The young Rabin stated there is no justification for general elections, which he blames on the “witch hunt” against the prime minister, adding to date, there is no proof that Ehud Olmert he has broken any law or committed any crime.

Yuval explained that he cannot continue living in the past, but when asked he admitted his late mother would not be pleased knowing he is meeting with Likud leader Binyamin Netanyahu, who his mother, Leah Rabin, blamed for much of the incitement that led to the assassination.

Yuval added there has always been “an extremist fringe element” but for him, he is more concerned that today, there is no real political process on the agenda.
