I have not done a lot of research and don’t know who to believe. But there gave been major very brutal terrorist attacks carried out by them. Did the Chinese act first and they responded or did they attack first as many Muslim minorities do and China is responding.
If China is responding to terrorists that are trying to break away, Can you blame them for wanting to crush the radical Islamists? That’s why you don’t hear much about them.

    Was it similar to this?
    Hello darkness, my old friend
I’ve come to talk with you again
    Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
    Still remains
    Within the sound of silence
In restless dreams I walked alone
    Narrow streets of cobblestone
‘Neath the halo of a street lamp
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
    That split the night
And touched the sound of silence

Of course it’s Free Speech. That’s why it was surprising when a N.Y. politician wanted to ban flyng it and it would never hold up in court.
Besides, the Confederate Flag is dofferent. It wasn’t always associated with White Supremacy. Growing up south of the Mason-Dixon line it was quite common and we didn’t find it offensive. I’ve had Confederate Flags coffee mugs, shot glasses, etc. We even had a big one in our Yeshiva dorm. We are hardly White Supremacists. That doesn’t mean I would fly one today because I want to be sensitive. But it also doesn’t elicit a negative reaction.

This is from a speech given by Rabbi Yissachar Dov Illowy in Baltimore 3 months before the civil war started. It was the feeling of most Southerners, Marylanders, and especially of Frum Baltimore.
“But who, for example, can blame our brethren of the South for their being inclined to secede from a society, under whose government those ends cannot be attained, and whose union is kept together, not by the good sense and good feelings of the great masses of the people, but by an ill-regulated balance of power and heavy iron ties of violence and arbitrary force? Who can blame our brethren of the South for seceding from a society whose government can not, or will not, protect the property rights and privileges of a great portion of the Union against the encroachments of a majority misguided by some influential, ambitious aspirants and selfish politicians who, under the color of religion and the disguise of philanthropy, have thrown the country into a general state of confusion, and millions into want and poverty?”
He explains how never in history have Jews waged war or threatened violence to end another groups slavery.
“All these are irrefutable proofs that we have no right to exercise violence against the institutions of other states or countries, even if religious feelings and philanthropic sentiments bid us to disapprove of them. It proves furthermore, that the authors of the many dangers, which threaten our country with ruin and devastation, are not what they pretend to be, the agents of Religion and Philanthropy.”

Anti-semitism is a word used by many Jews today to deflect a lack of socialization and as a cover for poor behavior.

The whole sign-up enmasse and they’ll give us money to stay is ridiculous. They have an obligation to accept all students they cant legally buy people off to stay away. Theyll absorb yhe students. Will there be a lot of hassle, yes. Will there be sone hiccups? Yes. But they’ll figure it out because theyre required to do so.

As a kid we always went to the firehouse to see the train garden. To this day many frum still go. As for lights we always enjoyed them and would drive around to see them. Why not? As for saying Christmas again why not? It is the name if the holiday after all.
