sacrilege, observanteen: interesting thought-is that how you painted your room? Midwest2: nothing to do with Beged Ish. I like blue as a color but not for my room color. I feel that a blue room is more for boys, nothing wrong with it, just my opinion. My old room was pink, so now I want to try something new. Sounds like green is the winner on this thread-perhaps Ill look into that:) a maamin:gold is definately different, I dont know of anyone with a gold room. I wonder how that would look like. Do you know of s/o with such a color? thanx e/o for all your suggestions!

popcorn: I agree that Extreme Social anxiety can greatly interfare with functioning. Did it really take years for your neice to conquer social anxiety through cognitive therapy? Is that what it typically takes to conquer social anxiety or can one grow out of it with time? Can a psychologist really help?

I agree as a single in shidduchim its not easy as i can feel with you cuz ive been in the parsha a few years myself but in every stage of your life you have to make the most of it and especially at this stage (as others have already mentioned). As a single there are many opportunities you have now which you may not be able to do as much of when you have a family and other responsibiities. Take advantage, do Chesed, go to shirum-keep busy and of course Daven for clarity that Hashem should find you your zivug hagun bekarov!. Hashem has someone special for you, keep davening, and may Hashem find you zivug hagun bekarov!.

Ms Critique; thanks the. nurse: would you recommend anyone in particular (in brooklyn) that does a good job and is reasonably priced? Also is it really painful? You mentioned that the hair will grow back is that statement true even if you go the required amount of times?

Chayaleah-sounds like a tough job. I had a similar experience during my fieldwork where i had to beg patients in the hospital to partcipate and it was not fun! The patient i was required to see was really really sick and did not want to participate but the facility required a certain amount of hours! Perhaps you should ask a shailah. About jobs- there are many jobs out there I really don’t think youll have a problem-esp in pediatrics. If you are interested in working with children perhaps this is a field for you. Really look into other fields-esp if you feel burnt out Hatzlacha!

Chayaleah- thats tough that you are not enjoying what you do.I am not yet an OT so I cant exactly relate but As yolk mentioned, why dont you look into other areas and see what you enjoy doing. I like the field of OT (not the schooling!) cause there are so many areas in which you can work in. If You don’t like working in one specialty area you can switch to another. what origianlly made you interested in OT? did u specifically enjoy any of ur experiences of observing OTs before u started OT or during fieldwork. perhaps look into the fields that you enjoyed observing.Speak to other OTs in the field that you may be interested in and ask questions! hope this helps! Hatzlacha with everything! Remember “meshane makom meshane mazal”

thats a good question OT is basically helping people with activities of daily living/functional/meaningful activities. Its a very interesting and very broad field. You can work on visual perceptial skills, sensory deficits, can work as a hand therapist, school based therapist and work on fine motor skills..classroom performance.. mental health…physical disabilities..as far as PT is concerned I am not so familiar with PT but i know they focus more on physical mobility/walking but not limited to this. yes Touro offers both OT and PT degrees.
