Here is what I dont get. Mommy is English which seems to be the pretty excepted style…Yet Tatty is in the Yiddish vernacular. I suppose the reason is because in Yiddish Mom is Momma which is really close to Mommy, so there. But Tatta is not too close to Dad so it didn’t switch to the English Daddy as did the Mommy.

Although Tatta and Dadda and Tatty and Daddy aint too far off, I guess it kinda strayed to far from its Yiddish roots kinda thing.

I’m not sure why though, Abba is more common than Imma. You have some families that call their dad Abba yet they call their Mom Mommy not Imma. Kind of confusing. Although others call Mother Mommy (English) and father Totty (Yiddish) so I guess cross naming is kind of come standard in some homes.

I believe that 99.999% of composers and singers are mega mega over rated. When you hear them in person, your like totally about to doze off. But when they put out a CD it sounds cool. Its a whole bunch of digital junk on very average voices.

    Charliehall,

Yippie! Its same sex civil unions not marriages. Please tell me why that is O.K.! Last time I checked the Torah has a rather unpleasant take on any kind of union other than the traditional man/woman relationship.

There is a Gemorah that states that one of the things that was the final cause for the coming of the mabul was the official documentation in those times of same gender unions.

It is actually interesting that the result was the great deluge, and now it is a deluge that is rearing its ugly head on that state. Huge waves hitting Chicago…..waves…mabul….get my drift (drift- pun intended)?

We know that Hashem works midah bmidah, so we are supposed to study his actions and figure out what they are reactions to. I think this one is not to far off.

Please tell me why, its not going into effect for another four months makes any difference? Please! Its a law that has been signed in and is just waiting the necessary time. I dont understand in the least what your points are!

I read that just the other day the Illinois governor sanctioned the legal recognition of non straight marriages.

I dont think Hashem is too pleased about that perversion. Maybe this is a sign of his displeasure.

I think a shpitzel is used if your of the Hasidim variation. It kind of looks like a dinner tablecloth wrapped on your head.

The other one goes on top of the wig or in place of it.

I think I have no idea what I am talking about. Im going to sleep.

Actually, you might find better girls if you go to school at night. Instead of being redt these timeimus girls who think that if you spend your whole life in a kolel on food-stamps, wic/section 8, government sponsored health insurance, money from your parents, money from your in laws, etc. etc. etc.

You can take and take and take and take…………

Instead of all that you take life serendipitously…..

maybe you will marry a girl with her head on right.
