TRUEBT- yes you are correct, however if mr. rechnitz would invest in kiruv at a younger stage than ohr samach does, perhaps we can mainstream our bt’s into mainstream ultra orthodox yeshivos . this would make them candidates for mainstream ffb or yfb- (yeshivish from birth) shiduchim.

REMEMBER PATTERSON AND FALLSBURG TYPE YESHIVOS HAVE HAD MAJOR HATZLOCHOH WITH RUSSIANS

IN THE 70’S and early 80’s bt’s or maybe better said halfway bt’s were marrying high end roshei yeshiva daughters.

SECOND OF yk is saying ALL WE ARE LOSING IN THE TEENAGE YEARS MORE BOYS THAN GIRLS Mr Rechnitz – lets invest in lkwd cheder type schools to insure we dont lose any boys after their bar mitzva

yk- good point. i would suggest two possiblities

    1. you had more bt’s mainstreamed in the black hat yeshiva system and you had many boys from just shomer shabbos families who got inspired by yeshivos and then became ultra Orthodox, while not as common by girls. Some of the baby-boomer roshei yeshivos and magidei shiurim come from poshuter just shomrei shabbos homes.

    2. today aside from the age gap,From the KIDS AT RISK we are losing more boys then girls. IN ultra yeshiva families there are more boys who do not remain like their families then girls. AND THE SAME IS TRUE WITH AGUDAH TYPE FAMILES.

Theory # 1 would suggest that we put more emphasis on being mekarev not frum or modern boys and then mainstreaming them in Patterson, springfield and fallsburg etc.

Theory # 2 would suggest that we put more emphasis on avoiding kids at risk .

i hope this gets passed on to mr. rechnitz

did you see what i posted earlier.?? it seems that the law is not clear.

and even if you cant be prosecuted it doesent mean that the dina dimalchusa actually permits it . they just dont prosecute the violators

dy – miles are not b’etzem yours. it’s just a z’chus to collect a flight ticket when certain conditions are met.

if you take an airline ticket when the conditions arent met 1:e selling miles then you are collecting a ticket not in accordance with whar your original zchs of miles was.

here is sometihng i found in google.

    Mar 29, 2010

The high court on Monday refused to lift a temporary injunction against Frequent Flyer Depot, Inc. A lower court judge had banned the company from working with American Airlines AAdvantage points while the airline’s lawsuit against the brokers was going through the court.

American Airlines says Frequent Flyer Depot’s practice of getting American’s passengers to sell them their frequent flyer points is illegal. The brokers would then use the points to buy tickets for people who did not want to deal directly with American Airlines.

American says the AAdvantage program prohibits the selling of its frequent flyer points.

The brokers say buying an airline ticket from them is cheaper than buying it from American. They also say that the AAdvantage program is not a contract under which the airline can sue.

The case is Frequent Flyer Depot v. American Airlines, 09-815.

it would seem tha the courts have no way of pressing charges but that doesent mean its not stealiing

if you had a country which did not press charges against realy burglary. would it mean you break in to s/o’s house.—obviously not.

so just because the courts dont fine you deosent mean they authorize it.

DY -THE REASON WHY WE DISCUSS HALACHAH IN THE CR Is because an educated consumer always does best.

Just like when you see a dr,if you are well read on the subject you will ask better questions and understand the dr better and avoid misunderstandings

the same is true when you speak to ur LOR u are always better off if you are some aht familiar with the subject b4 discussing it with the LOR.

DASS YACHID – DO YOU MEAN TO SAY THAT RAV WONSNER SHLITA WOULD NOT AGREE TO TAKE any traifah medicine ina capsule. (HE never discussed capsules but only discussed drinking fish oil plain)

BTW this is very noggea l.masseh because there is a prescription drug called lovaza which is madw from 100% fish oil.

many people take vitamin fish oil but that you can get with a hechsher

the difference is that most meds are unfit for human consumption. however lovaza is fish oil — which is fit in some manner for human consumption as people have been consuming fish oil over the generations.
