In Manhattan my favorite place for a quite bite to eat is Avi and David’s on 3rd Avenue between 61st and 62nd. It’s milchig cholev Yisroel, open 24 hours and very clean. They have a hot protein sandwich which has a soy/chicken cutlet, a fried egg-white omlet w/vegtables, hummus on toasted bread of your choice. Excellet, fast, it’s a pleasant place to rest and rejuvinate while in the city.

Why do many people only go to chupah, and not get a civil marriage? Is this in order to qualify as a single mother for some programs? And if yes, don’t they have to declare that the father of the children don’t live with them, etc.?

The problem is that so many people do not have betachon, and as a result they lie on their applications. This is not what Torah is about. Torah is about being truthful, working hard to be good, having faith that Hashem will provide, and about being a kiddush Hashem. People focus too much on what they want–and not what Hashem wants.

I live in Boro Park and personally find the siren very anoying. It’s much too loud, goes on for far too long and is very reminicent of war and danger–which is not a nice way to go into Shabbos. For a while music was played, which obviously was much more pleasant.

The legal industry is bound by a very, very, very strict code of ethics, procedures as well as civil law–where a lawyer can be disbarred, sued, etc., if they do not adhere to these rules. Therefore, clients know what they are paying for and have ample legal recourse if they are disatisfied.

I would not at all equate shaddchanim with lawyers.

They should also be taught to look for signs within themselves–of feeling tension, inability to hold a conversation, inability to really listen.

Buying good quality clothing is fine. But what really makes me laugh is when people are obviously wearing fine clothing, but their behavior is rude, curt, animialistic–men and women alike.

What is the point in wearing refined, expensive clothing when your behaviour is anything but refined? It makes you look like a real fool.

Your garments become beautiful only when your behaviour is beautiful and thoughtful toward others–the designer labels have nothing to do with it.

So stop honking your horns, stop running your carriages into other people, stop breaking the law, stop being rude and mean–and start being thoughtful and nice and honest. Then you will really be refined and cool, or whatever you are looking for in your desinger clothing.

If you drink this for tons of energy, then you most likely need to exercise. Keeping your body in shape by excercising keeps your muscles strong. Strong muscles gives you energy. Try lifing weights every other day. Also use ankle weights. Try doing 10 of one movement, then 10 of another, etc. By keeping your muscles strong you won’t have a problem with lack of energy. Then you won’t need Coke.
