Joe Lieberman No Longer In Contention For FBI Director

Former Senator Joe Lieberman dropped out of the running for FBI director, according to multiple news reports.

Lieberman, who represented Connecticut in the Senate as a Democrat and is now an independent, was believed to be the frontrunner for the nation’s top law enforcement job.

One potential complication — the Washington Post reported Tuesday that Mr. Trump hired Marc Kasowitz as his private attorney to deal with the federal investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 U.S. election, and Lieberman has been working as a senior counsel at Kasowitz’s law firm for several years.

  1. Good decision…he was not the “right” person for the job. First, he is simply “too old” for a 10 year appointment which requires 30% of time to travel to the Bureau’s 200+ field offices. Second, his law partner in NY is the President’s personal lawyer in the ongoing investigation. BTW, the same lawyer who sued Time Warner for defamation for saying that Trump was worth a few billion dollars less than he claims and more recently, threatening the NYT for reporting on the 15 different women who accused the Trumpkopf of inappropriate behavior.

  2. B”H!! America needs a good FBI director who’d put Hillary the Devil, the world’s biggest criminal, with all her evil collaborators, in jail for life.

  3. The FBI director should not be a politician. Hopefully whoever it is will put the degenerate draft dodger, the world’s biggest criminal, and all his collaborators, in jail for life!

  4. Baruch Hashem.
Any Frum person, regardless of Party, would be a terrible situation to be the head of the FBI. The FBI, like the State Department, is a cesspool of Anti Semitism. They hate Orthodox Jews like poison and will go out of their way to harass and make life miserable for them. We know all too many examples of this.

  5. Ditto Momma, but the problem is that Rudy Giuliani and Trey Gowdy, the best ones for this job, don’t want to accept it.
