SEE THIS! Boro Park Mosdos At War Over Election – Now Offering Children Prizes For Voting!

In just 24 hours there will be a new Councilman replacing the outgoing David Greenfield. The Mosdos of Boro Park are in a brutal battle to gather as many votes for their candidate as possible.

There is loads of false information being spread on social media, forcing some Mosdos to issue statements that they were misrepresented on campaign posters. Krasna Cheder sent home a note informing parents that the candidate of their choice was Kalman Yeger and that anything said in their names otherwise is false. (See image below)

The Hikind campaign released a campaign flyer with a list of “Mosdos” endorsing them. Many of them are in fact small “Shteeblach,” with membership totals numbering as low as 25.

Meanwhile Bobov and Bobov-45 are taking the battle to an entirely new level. Prizes are now being offered to the children in this election.

Bobov – who clearly has the largest block vote (around 3,500 people) in Boro Park – has made their choice clear. They are backing Kalman Yeger big-time.

The Yeshiva sent home a note today with the children, offering some serious prizes to those whose parents go out and vote. The letter says there will be a raffle with the grand prize being a trip to Eretz Yisroel, followed by prizes for a bike and a digital camera.

Bobov-45 was also promising to give the children prizes – apparently chocolate or other candy.

  1. YWN – why dont u publish posts?? you guys have crossed lines.. you are supposed to be a jewish news source not a yeager media center….. no different than cnn taking a storying and biasing it to their angle-

  2. It would be just and honest if YWN made a simple statement acknowledging that they are part of the Yeger campaign. I have never witnessed as much negative campaigning as YWN pushed against Hikind. Guiness Book of World records material.

  3. I thought non-profits cannot endorse any political candidate. They’re opening themselves up to an IRS audit, and could lose their non-profit. Also, it’s amazing the impartiality of the Yeshiva World News. Wow! Talk about selling your soul for money.

  4. Just look at the lows a person can stoop to in a time of desperation. From the people I’ve spoken to who have come in contact with Yoni pretty much describe him the same way “a bum”.

  5. lamdan50-
The article and the flyer/picture says that Krasna endorses kalman yeager.
That can be a big no no for non profits…..

  6. @seichel’s comment is lashon hara and possibly motzi shem ra, and should be taken down immediately.
Honestly? I see nothing wrong with any of this. Nobody was asking anyone to vote for a specific candidate – they were just trying to get people to go out and vote, which is important for our community. If offering kids a prize is what it takes to get parents to vote, then why not?

  7. @lamdan50 – On the right the papers don’t mention candidates only if you go voting.
Really? The Krasna paper clearly states they support Kalman Yeager.
