Bannon Appeals To Jews To Join War On GOP Establishment

President Donald Trump’s former chief strategist on Sunday called on American Jews to join his war on the Republican establishment.

Steve Bannon appealed to the Zionist Organization of America to “work as partners” in his crusade against GOP leaders he blames for blocking Trump’s agenda. Bannon delivered the fiery address at the organization’s annual awards dinner in New York, with several current and former Trump staffers in attendance.

“We’re leading an insurgency movement against the Republican establishment,” Bannon charged, blaming his adversaries in the establishment for playing games.

“That’s how you get the Iran deal,” he continued. “That’s how we still allow the American government to finance people that have blood on their hands of innocent Jewish civilians.”

The Zionist Organization of America has largely embraced Bannon, while other Jewish leaders have raised concerns about him and the news outlet he runs, Breitbart News, which is popular among some white supremacists, anti-Semites and others who identify with the so-called alt-right movement.

Bannon, who left the White House in August, is now trying to raise money to defeat several sitting Republican senators he says are blocking Trump’s agenda in Washington.

“President Trump needs our back,” he declared. “We’re a nation at war. This war is only going to be won if we bind together and work as partners.”

  1. Breitbart News is not anti-semitic, it is actually one of the most Pro-Israel news services in America right now. It has a Jerusalem news bureau. This article from the AP is pure Motzei Shem Rah

  2. 1. First problem, very few of us (i.e. Orthodox Jews) are officially Republicans. While we vote Republican in presidential elections, almost all are registered Democrats since we live in hyper-blue states and cities (New York, Chicago, Baltimore, etc.) in which all politicians hoping to be elected are Democrats.

    2. While our interests in foreign affairs line up with Trump’s policies (at least relative to anyone else’s), in economic matters we tend to be less concervative (to put it bruntly, many frum Jews support and benefit for entitlements and liberal social welfare problems). In social matters we have great ressons to support Trump, since the adovocates of political correctness see us as enemies to be demonized and crushed.

  3. The GOP, and generally democrats as well, have almost always had the Jewish community’s interests at heart. Don’t think the likes of Roy Moore and his ilk are lovers of Jews.

  4. rt: “generally” with a lot of “astericks” for when they didn’t. Like the time they helped the British prevent Jews from escaping Europe, turning the “expulsion” into the “holocaust” (as disclosed when classified documents were finally declassified in the early 21st century). Or the support of Democrats for “Affirmative action” which means a Jew needs a a much higher set of scores and grades to get a cheap public education than those whom politically correctness deems to be our betters. The list can go on, and both parties have things we need to worry about. However I don’t see the problem with Bannon (or Moore), and if you believe the AP that Breibart is beloved by the Nazis and the White Supremisists , you would have to believe that the Nazis and the White Supremisists have changed there mind and are no longer anti-Jewish, and if you believe that, there’s this bridge on the East River I think I might be able to sell you.
