Lakewood Police Looking For Man Wanted For Two Armed Robberies


lakewood pd cover2.jpgLakewood Police are looking for a man believed to be responsible for two armed robberies early this morning.

Lakewood PD told the Asbury Park Press that the suspect injured the clerk at the EconoLodge on Madison Avenue when he struck him during the 12:20AM armed robbery. The perp made off with close to $2,000.

A second robbery attempt was reported to police at 1:50AM at the Quick Stop gas station on River Ave, the APP reported.

The suspect approached the gas attendant with the gun and demanded money, but the attendant hid inside and closed the door and the suspect ran off.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black male with a thin build, in his mid-20s, about 5 foot 4 inches to 5 foot 6 inches, wearing jeans, T-shirt and ball cap.
